Just around the corner...
We have a great time every Thursday night at the Mercury Cafe, but sometimes, we like to get a little bit fancy and have a little bit more fun to boot. We hope the Mercury Cafe becomes your place where "everybody knows your name", but if you don't have the time to become a regular, certainly don't miss these Special Events!
Also, if you'd like to hire teachers, performers, teams, or dancers for YOUR special event (weddings, corporate gigs, etc.) write us at firstname.lastname@example.org!
Here is a collection of our past events that remind us of the hope we have for the memories of our future! In short, we've had a lot of good times, and we hope you join us for them the next time around...
Onesie Swing Dance!
Was 2016 the year of the Onesie? Who knows, but there sure were a lot of Onesies in the stores! Pick your favorite and come Swing Dance with us at the Mercury Cafe. We'll also be having a dance contest that we're calling the Goof Off: conquer it solo or with a partner!

Holiday Swing Party
We had a great night together with a white elephant gift exchange, ugly sweater contest, performances by the Mercury Cafe's home swing teams and more!
Great Gatsby Swing Night
Everyone dressed to dazzle in their best 1920's reminiscent attire! We spent the entire evening Lindy Hopping, Charleston-ing and Jitterbugging the night away with a Charleston contest at 10 pm, a photo booth, and beautiful hand-crafted cocktails.
We brought back the Tiki Party, a Denver Classic in the Swing community, begun by Tiffiny Shea Wine and 23 Skidoo many years back! While the Merc was dressed up in sumac foliage, we had a fun, tropical Swing night with a limbo contest, hula, mixed drinks, and more!
May the 4th Swing
May the Fourth be with you! Check out this article on our Star Wars night at makingstarwars.net...
Always an awesome night of Swing Dancing with out-of-this-world libations, Yoda pinatas, the twin suns of Tatooine, and a Charleston Contest to the Cantina song from Ep. IV! Everyone came dressed as their favorite smugglers, bounty hunters, aliens, and other SW memorabilia-themed attire.
Harvest Moon Ball
We celebrated the season and our friendships in formal attire while dancing under a gigantic mirror ball! There's a lot of history in the name "Harvest Moon Ball" for Swing dancers, with incredible vintage footage from the Madison Square Garden Harvest Moon Ball Competitions that still inspire us today!
