Swing Nights' Media Round-Up for the week of September 2nd!

Media Round Up!

On Monday the 3rd we had our team reboots! There were auditions for QuickSilvers and we started a new choreography for the Retros. We’d like to give a huge shout out to everyone who was there, these teams are nothing without YOU! We love the teams for so many reasons, but our hands down favorite is the community it provides and the amazing people we get to meet. Of course, performing together at the 1940’s Ball and the Mercury Cafe is going to be pretty awesome too! We’re so excited to continue working with both teams!

If you missed all the super-charged energy of the Pre-Lindy on the Rocks Strictly dance contest last Thursday you should read all about it here. It was so much fun! This Thursday is the unofficial kick-off party of Lindy on the Rocks and Joe Smith and the Spicy Pickles is playing, so come on out and get pickled! …and if you haven’t signed up for your LOTR weekend passes, what’re you waiting for?

On Saturday we had our Big Apple Workshop. A big thank you to everyone who came out and showed your support! It’s an intense choreography to learn within three hours, everyone did fantastic, and thanks to Dani for keeping us fueled up with Cuties and chocolate! Remember Big Apple dancers, we’re going to keep on playing “The Big Apple Contest”/”Flying Home” on Thursdays and Sundays at the Mercury Cafe so that you can keep practicing, remembering, and performing this awesome choreography by the late great Frankie Manning!

About our Media Round Up: We spend a lot of time each week editing photos of y'all and trying to capture how fun it is to be a part of the Swing Nights' community. Whether you make it to the Lindy Jam or a Sunday night it's always a blast! And while we do share these photos on social media, we'd like to make them available to everyone at a higher resolution and have them on our own site too.

Be sure to follow us on FacebookInstagram, and YouTube!
